Sales SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

If you’re a strong sales engineer with the proven ability to create a solid sales plan, combined with the high-energy and tactical ability to motivate yourself and meet your sales objectives, the Senior Business Development Engineer’s role could be your ideal opportunity.  You’ll leverage your sales experience selling safety or control systems into the Industrial Automation industries to build sales.   You will be presenting the best technical products available today.  At present the RTP3000 N+ is recognized as a best-in-class safety system outside of the US.  It has more functionality and higher performance than competitive products and when considering cost of ownership, it is the most economical system available.  It is also well suited for high-end PLC applications requiring functionality beyond relay ladder logic, like rotating machinery control and BMS applications where fast scan rates are required.  It is also well suited for DCS applications, that require a large number of PID loops and very accurate Analog I/O.  By the end of this year a new product, Dragon, will enter the product lineup.  It will use the same software, NetArrays.  It is positioned to have a price per I/O point of $16 with an Analog content of 40%.  You can visit our web site to learn more about the functionality and applications already served by RTP.

Sales Product Marketing Manager

RTP Corp located in Pompano Beach, FL is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead our outbound marketing activities.  You’ll be responsible for presenting our products in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales.  For this role, you should be a creative and quantitative thinker. You should be familiar with various product marketing techniques, like email campaigns and pricing strategies.  Your goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable plans to position and promote our products.

Key skills

 

  • Communication skills: The ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial.  You will frequently have to present new products and write engaging copy, telling the ‘story’ of products, for various marketing channels.
  • Research skills: A crucial part of being a successful product marketing manager is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences.  Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical details into benefits for the user
  • Follow and analyze market trends to position products
  • Develop product marketing strategies (e.g., Pricing, Advertising, Product launching)
  • Craft compelling messages including collateral, blog posts, social media posts, email templates, presentation templates, etc.
  • Build a manufacturing representative organization with focus on key geographic areas of Industrial automation companies, primarily in chemical, oil, gas, and power.
  • Design, develop and execute revenue-generating, joint marketing programs with our channel partners in support of customer acquisition targets and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute channel marketing plans, campaigns and lead-generation programs in support of partner prospecting & recruitment initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation of external-facing sales and marketing materials in support of partner-facing program elements and customer-facing activities
  • Help drive PR-related activities to promote awareness of the RTP channel program within the relevant solution industries as well as the broader channel community.
  • Ensure all channel marketing communications and content align with RTP brand strategies.
  • Track competitive channel marketing programs as well as market and channel trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Build on product messaging that sets new products apart from others in the market to give them a unique selling point
  • Communicate the vision and value of new products to the sales team and develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager or similar role
  • Experience in market analysis
  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g., integrated marketing campaigns)
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Web Trends)
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills; detail-oriented, highly motivated and self-starter skills
  • BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
